If you're looking for Italian food while in Punta Cana, look no further. The owners and chef are straight from Italy. Authentic Italian food at it's finest.

Mamma Luisa Bar Trattoria its a very special place, that surge for the passion and great cooking taste of Mrs Luisa Patrovita. Who is Italian as well and since 1960's as a destiny matter, has been related to this land as her own. Mrs Luisa is dedicated to this business among with her daughter and son (Rossana and Joaquin) who help her running the business. La Mamma (as is called by all her customers) arrived to the Punta Cana zone at the end of the 90's almost as a casualty called basically by her long time friend Mr. Frank Rainieri.

The business opened its doors on May 11th of 2004 and since then and thanks to the huge support given by the customers not just locals but also foreigners that regularly visit the place, has maintain its development along with the great evolution of Punta Cana. At Mamma Luisa, without any doubts, the customers feel like in their own houses as well, and reflects the design of the establishment... it is a fusion of the typical traditional structure and the Italians as well !! You could enjoy a very fine wine or a very chilly beer, meanwhile listening not just a very good Italian music but also a Juan Luis Guerra Merengue ...

When speaking of Italian cuisine on Punta Cana, only the Mama Luisa Restaurant comes to mind. It is located at the beginning of the Galerias Punta Cana and next to El Nacional, The Village's super market. This Restaurant is the favorite in the area, where Pastas are cooked and prepared with a real Italian flavor.

Mama Luisa opened its doors 8 years ago and since then it has been offering an excellent service to both tourist, and locals. This year it underwent a complete remodeling both of its interior, and exterior design, modernizing it and increasing the number of customers it could have. The restaurant included a new terrace where you could enjoy live music, leaving the inside as a more intimate zone.

This beautiful and renovated restaurant offers something for everyone, from a complete menu of first dishes to a great variety of homemade pastas, even recipes of fish and seafood that combine Caribbean fish with traditional Italian recipes, naturally accompanied by a great menu of wines.

The prices my vary along the range of 120 US$ including wine. They also offer rations for children
